The leading global education & advocacy campaign accelerating gender balance and diversity on corporate boards. #5050WOB
关于我们
50/50 Women on Boards? is the leading nonprofit global education & advocacy campaign committed to advancing gender balance and diversity on corporate boards. In 2010 we launched 2020 Women on Boards, now 50/50 Women on Boards, to educate, advocate and collaborate with corporations and action groups committed to advancing women to corporate boards. Reaching and exceeding our initial goal of 20% women directors by 2020, our new campaign boldly calls for women to hold 50% of all corporate board seats and women of color to hold at least 20% of corporate board seats. Our proprietary 50/50 Women on Boards Gender Diversity Index? transparently tracks women's progress on Russell 3000 Index company boards. Quarterly and annually, we analyze the data and disseminate insights to encourage meaningful change across all levels of leadership. If you are a woman aspiring to serve on a board or board-ready, we offer interactive workshops with experienced corporate directors to give you the tools to pursue a corporate board seat. We invite all to participate in our public awareness campaigns and tentpole events, including our Global Conversation on Board Diversity?. If you are a corporation searching for ways to elevate your DE&I efforts for your employees, clients, or key stakeholders, we encourage you to get involved by partnering with our campaign or hosting a corporate board program for women in your network. More than 80% of our revenue funds our research, educational programs, and public awareness campaigns. Get involved: www.5050wob.com Have questions? Email: [email protected]

Currently, women hold 30.2% of the total board seats of Russell 3000 companies, and women of color make up only 7.7%. 50/50 Women on Boards has a plan to change those numbers with their 50 Women to Watch for Boards Campaign. It is an honor to be selected, once again, to sit on the 2025 Selection Committee, alongside board directors and stock exchange leaders such as Janet S. Wong, Lara (Livingstone) Lee, John Driver, NACD.DC, Maria Ariza, David Chun, M. Claire Chung, Edith Avilés and Regina García Cuéllar. Together, we will vet female candidates ready to serve on a corporate board. If you are a female executive, please nominate yourself, or if you know someone in your network, invite her to self-nominate. We look forward to reviewing your submissions and spotlighting the finalists in June! I’m excited to rejoin the selection committee for 50/50 Women on Boards 2025 Top 50 Women to Watch! It's truly an honor and also an opportunity to reflect on the learnings from my personal journey in business. As a Korean American immigrant, I’ve often been the “only” in the room.? That sentiment managed to grow over the last decade, as I’ve had the privilege of working with countless women's leadership groups, finding myself the single male in attendance. Ladies, I know how you feel! For a while, being the “only” played into my insecurities. When our family landed in Rutherford, NJ in the late 1960s after the passage of the Immigration Act, we were not easily integrated into the community. It took a while to get in the door, and even longer to find a voice. But one day it clicked: If you were the “only," it was easier for others to remember your contributions to the discussion. Being the "only" became a distinction. It goes without saying that it’s a challenging environment for diversity initiatives. That’s why it’s more important than ever to raise our game. The goal, of course, is equity. At Equilar, we’ve seen firsthand the impact of diverse leadership in the boardroom, and I’m proud to support this important effort to spotlight talented women shaping the future of corporate governance. If you're an "only," seize the moment and lean in. It’s up to you to prepare and be remembered as the talented individual who, by the way, happened to be diverse and unique in the room that day. And if you’re one of many, amplify the voices around you to help ensure every perspective is heard. Looking forward to collaborating with the incredible committee and celebrating the next generation of boardroom leaders! #IWD25 #5050WOB #WomenOnBoards #Leadership #CorporateGovernance #DEI

I look forward to working with the 50/50 Women on Boards team and my accomplished Selection Committee members as we work together to identify and select the 2025 Top 50 Women to Watch! This Black History Month, we celebrate the strength and resilience of Black women leaders who have shaped history and continue to pave the way for future generations. Together, we have the power to drive lasting change. The book “Lifting As They Climbed” by Essence McDowell & Mariame Kaba highlights the incredible stories of Black women in Chicago who have lifted others as they rose to the top, showing us the importance of unity, mentorship, and collective empowerment in breaking barriers. At 50/50 Women on Boards, we’re committed to creating a more inclusive future—where working together brings about the change we all deserve. Let’s keep climbing, supporting each other, and raising the voices of those who have been overlooked for too long.
