An article recently published in the??journal?Science of the Total Environment?looked at the health data of young adults and came to the alarming but unsurprising??link between PFAS (so called “forever chemicals”), bacteria levels in the gut and a decrease in kidney function. A study published in early September in Environmental Health Perspectives was picked up later by the Guardian, and detailed how young children between the ages of 4 and 8 are at risk of exposure to Phthalates – common ingredients in personal care products either added to stabilize them or because they migrate from plastic containers into the products.
