As unmanned aerial systems proliferate, airports across the country are becoming increasingly concerned over the need to keep unauthorized drones from entering restricted airspace, potentially interfering with scheduled flight traffic, forcing ground delays and posing a possible danger to manned aircraft and personnel. The federal government already is conducting testing of C-UAS systems at a handful of U.S. airports. In 2021, the Federal Aviation Administration announced the selection of five host airports — Atlantic City International Airport in New Jersey; Syracuse Hancock International Airport - SYR in New York; Rickenbacker International Airport in Columbus, Ohio; Huntsville International Airport in Alabama and Seattle Tacoma International Airport in Washington state — to evaluate technologies to detect and mitigate potential safety risks posed by unmanned aircraft. #FlyHSV #HuntsvilleInternationalAirport #PortOfHuntsville #POH #HSV #UAS #CUAS #drone https://lnkd.in/egSGR2p4

From the Space Station to Rocket City! ????? On Jan. 29, Expedition 71 crew members visited Marshall for a panel discussion and meet-and-greet. About 350 Marshall team members gathered to hear the astronauts discuss their recent mission to the International Space Station. Our teams supported this expedition through the launch of Crew-8 with our Commercial Crew Program, and assisted the crew in conducting science on the orbiting lab from our Payload Operations Integration Center.
