We are so happy that we had the opportunity to work with Nyagam this summer. She is already an asset to the conservation world and we can’t wait to see where she goes next. Thank you to Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin for offering this amazing internship program!
For Nyagam, her favorite part about working in conservation has been the people she's met along the way. Nyagam is a member of our 2024 Diversity in Conservation Internship cohort and she interned with the Lake Michigan Bird Observatory this summer. Gam's responsibilities included water quality monitoring, bird box monitoring, vegetation surveying, and more. Along the way, Gam has been able to teach these skills to volunteers and has loved getting to see how passionate people are about conservation, not just as a job but as a hobby, as well.
