This incredible event brought together over 1800 dynamic women to celebrate the power of women. 4Kira4Moms is beyond proud to support Walmart’s strategic women’s health focus as one of their 3 chosen health equity partners to exhibit at the conference. 4Kira4Moms spread awareness about the US maternal mortality crisis and the need for health equity alongside Walmart, Bexa, and The Black Heart Association. Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831–1895) – The First Black Woman Physician in the U.S. Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler became the first Black woman in the U.S. to earn a medical degree in 1864. She dedicated her career to caring for formerly enslaved people who had little to no access to medical treatment. Her work laid the foundation for addressing racial disparities in healthcare, including maternal health.
