However, our roots started over 125 years ago in the United Kingdom when our parent company, Braime Holdings P.L.C., began producing small pressings with a fly press in 1888 4B’s material handling division specializes in the engineering and manufacturing of plastic and metal elevator buckets, elevator bolts, rubber and steel web belting, drop forged and round link chain, sprockets and trailers. 4B’s electronics division has a diverse range of industry leading products including: speed switches, encoders, bearing temperature sensors, level and plug indicators, belt alignment systems, hazard monitors, safety switches, alarms and displays. TECH TIP: To get more from your bucket elevator, opt for a bigger bucket like the new Jumbo 20x10. At water level +10%, the Jumbo 20x10’s capacity is 1,140 cubic inches, making 25,000 BPH easily attainable with a single row. When installed in Low Profile configuration, 30,000 BPH can be achieved. TECH TIP: If the sides of your buckets are scraping, it is likely caused by belt misalignment, which has multiple potential causes. Side loading could be pushing the buckets. Check to be sure your splice is square. Inspect for product buildup between the belt and the pulley. Verify that the head and boot pulleys are parallel. Make sure your elevator is plumb and check your belt tension; it may be insufficient. #techtip #grainhandling #materialhandling #bucketelevator #graininnovation
