Leading with Emotional Intelligence: Connecting Head to Heart for Cultural Change | Keynote Speaking | Coaching | Organizational Development

Innovation dies in silence. Your cost of inaction...extinction. 85% of employees are disengaged (Gallup, 2023). ? And it's costing you millions. The brutal truth: Disengaged employees cost U.S. companies $550 billion annually (Workplace, 2023). Toxic cultures destroy productivity. Human-centric approaches change everything. ? The data proves it. Employee engagement isn't a "nice to have." ? It's a must-have today. It's your competitive advantage. You will cut absenteeism almost in half! (Hay Group). It's tough for your people to add value if they don't show up. But... What else causes your team to miss KPIs? Do you have the number one factor of high-performing teams? ...Trust. Trust drives everything: 76% of employees want more connection (Microsoft Work Trend Index). 89% stay longer in trust-based cultures (Edelman Trust Barometer). Collaboration increases 50% with psychological safety (Google Project Aristotle). Your people are your most valuable asset. One company who hosted my Communicate to Connect keynote saw immediate impact. But... They didn't have culture issues. In fact...their turnover rate is one-fifth of the national average in their industry. Their culture was good. → But... Now it's great. They layered my communication model into their culture to leverage every interaction to build connection. In their first leadership meeting after my keynote the impact was immediate. They were... → More connected than ever. → Working together. → Having fun. Silos were eliminated. They are crushing it and are expanding with a new location. What human-centric cultures create: → Growth opportunities → Psychological safety → Authentic leadership → Meaningful work → Record revenue Because you unlock the power of human connection... → Collaboration fuels innovation. Your challenges today are too complex to handle on your own. Did you know 93% of breakthrough innovations come from engaged teams (MIT Sloan)? Complex challenges demand collaborative solutions. So you have a choice: ? Adapt or become irrelevant. If you see... → Reactive leadership → Low engagement → High turnover → Siloed teams → Missed KPIs And want to change it... Prioritize your people. ? Watch productivity soar. Create breakthrough cultures. ? Your future depends on it. Hard numbers. ? Real impact. Or... Do nothing. And... Get Blockbustered. It's up to you. If you want 2025 to feel different next year at Thanksgiving... Shoot me a dm. ? I'd be willing to listen. Follow Josiah to connect your head to your heart in your leadership today.

Your crossed arms are killing trust. It takes just 7 seconds to makea first impression (Harvard Business School). ? Your body language speaks first. That defensive pose? → Blocks 38% of incoming information (Journal of Nonverbal Behavior) → Reduces retention by 40% (Yale Research) → Signals rejection to 82% of people (MIT Study) You're sabotaging connection. The cost of closed body language: → 93% of communication is nonverbal (Dr. Albert Mehrabian) → Trust decisions happen in 0.1 seconds (Princeton Study) → 87% of employees read leader body language first (Gallup) One leader changed... → Opened his posture → Engagement scores jumped → Real connections were formed Warning signs you're blocking connection: → Arms crossed in meetings → Leaning back from others → Creating physical barriers ? Your team notices. The solution? → Open posture. → Open heart. → Open mind. When you lean in, you show... You're interested. You're invested. You care. Simple shift. ? Massive impact. Your body language predicts: → Employee engagement → Team performance → Productivity ? It starts with you. Ready to level up your impact? Uncross those arms and you will: → Build trust → Build connection → Have fun doing it ? Your impact is waiting. Simple shifts like this have massive impact on your success as a leader. Executing emotional intelligence gives you the actions you need to build the number one factor of high performing teams... ? You may be destroying your impact as a leader and not even know it. Here are a couple of mistakes I made as a leader. I'm a massive human being. I show up big without trying. My presence is felt immediately. But... I'm also... → Fast-paced → Assertive → Loud So... There's a lot to deal with here. It can be... → Intimidating → Overpowering → A lot to handle I have to always be mindful of my body language. Did you know 55% of communication is body language? Tone of voice accounts for 38% of communication. So this leaves the words you say account for just 7% of your communication. There's no way around it... Body language matters ? Big time. Emotional intelligence helps you manage your emotions AND your presence. When you control your emotions... ? Your body language follows. It doesn't matter if you're... → Connecting with your team → Presenting to executives → Building relationships Your body language is the difference between being... Approachable Or Untouchable. I had to learn to manage my body language to be more approachable. I had to avoid rigid stances. Instead, I... → Relax my shoulders → Don’t cross my arms → Keep my hands visible This open and relaxed posture shows... → Calmness → Warmth → Safety It lowers feelings of dominance while still showing confidence. But... You can also command a room without saying a word. If you... Stand tall – Confidence is contagious and you inspire trust. Lock in on eye contact – Don’t stare, but say "I see you." Use purposeful gestures – Align movement with your words. You will align your body with your intention. ? People will remember you. When you utilize emotional intelligence in your body language, you will connect with others. You don’t just communicate. ? You connect. Executing emotional intelligence starts with you. ? And your self-awareness. Your body language matters more than your words. Execute E.Q. to manage your body language and start communicating to connect. If any of this sounds interesting to you shoot me a DM... ? I'd be willing to listen Follow Josiah to connect your head to your heart in your leadership today.

This is personal. I don't talk about this often. I was blind in my left eye. I'm not sure how it happened. The impact on my life was real. I needed a cornea transplant. ? It was a medical procedure to me. I had no idea it was WAY more than that. I showed up for the surgery. I was ready to roll, and it was all good. But... I was not prepared for what I would find out. I was given a folder. It had information on reaching out to the family of the donor. I never considered what somebody gave… ? to be in a position to give to me. But... I had the surgery. It was successful. I wondered... Who was the person who donated? What was their story? Why me? There was an emotional element I never suspected. There was a request to write a letter to the family of the donor. I did this a day after my surgery. ? They couldn't believe I did it so fast. I wanted the family to know I was grateful. But... I heard nothing. A year passed by. Then it all changed. I got a letter in the mail... It changed my life completely. My donor was on a bike ride. He was hit by a car. He died too soon. His cornea gave me a gift. I could see again in my left eye. I could play catch with my son now. His widow shared with me who he was. She told me she got my letter a while ago. She said that she wanted to... ? but she could NOT respond. She was grateful. In massive loss. ? She was excited for me. That's the power of human connection. ? We are stronger together. ? She shared about her loss. She was excited about my ability to see. In loss she was happy about the impact her late husband continued to make on the world. It's real. Who are you grateful for today? It can be gone fast. Embrace it. You never know when your life can change OR When your life will end. But I do know... We need each other. It's more needed now. The world is heavy and it's real. The power of human connection is undefeated. Follow Josiah to connect your head to your heart in your leadership today.

Your lazy, soft Gen Z employee was just hired by your competition. Here's what they know and you don't. The workforce revolution isn't coming... ? It's here. And... Leaders aren't ready. I was coaching a senior leader who was venting over generational challenges. The comments focused on Gen Z being... → Soft → Lazy → Entitled The challenges were real. ?So was the frustration. But here's the reality... By 2025, Gen Z will make up 30% of the workforce (Manpower Group, 2023). That's 1 in 3 of your employees. ? Your leadership must adapt. The disconnect is real... → 61% of Gen Z will quit without purpose (Deloitte, 2023) → 75% demand consistent manager feedback (Workforce Institute) → 82% expect authentic leadership (LinkedIn Workplace Learning Report, 2022) Most leaders are stuck in outdated models. Stop calling them "entitled." → They're value-driven. → Purpose-motivated. → Tech-native. They're not entitled. ?They're qualified. The real problem? It's not Gen Z. It's outdated leadership. ? EQ bridges the gap. I talk about this in my CLEAR Communication model keynote. How you can connect with all generations. You will inspire and engage everyone. What Gen Z wants: → 82% prioritize mental health benefits (MetLife, 2023) → 76% expect learning opportunities (LinkedIn) → 69% want work-life integration (Deloitte) They're not asking. ? They're leaving. The cost of not adapting? → $435B lost to turnover annually (Gallup) → 72% of Gen Z considering job change (Microsoft) → Only 29% fully engaged (Gallup, 2023) Your competition gets it. The bridge? Emotional Intelligence: → Self-awareness drives authenticity. → Empathy creates connection. → Social skills build trust. One company I work with took part in my Communicate to Connect keynote address and stated the silos were removed across the organization. But... More importantly... ? Across the generations. Human connection is undefeated. This company is seeing new levels of creativity and innovation after working with me. Data proves it works. Warning signs you're losing them: → You hear less feedback. → New ideas aren't coming. → Compliance replaced collaboration ? Sound familiar? Ready to bridge the gap? My communication model is your first step. Connect YOUR head to your heart... and... You will connect with all 4 generations in the workforce. If this sounds interesting to you at all... Shoot me a DM. ? I'd be willing to listen. Your future depends on it. The choice is yours... Level up your leadership... or Become irrelevant. Follow Josiah to connect your head to your heart in your leadership today.

You ever hear your team say the six most expensive words in business? This may shock you. One team I worked with never realized how this sentence limited their impact! You have a culture issue if you hear "I agree with everything you said". You don't have a culture of creativity. ? You have a culture of compliance. If we both agree on everything... ? Eventually, one of us won't be needed. Harsh... But True. If everyone agrees on everything, you don't have innovation. ? You have groupthink. Conflict isn't the enemy. ? Fear of conflict is. It kills: → Creativity → Solutions → Growth The real problem? You fight people, ? Not problems. Emotional intelligence is the game-changer. → Self-regulation maintains professionalism. → Self-awareness keeps ego in check. → Empathy opens understanding. ? You navigate tension with purpose. Here's what happens when you shift from competition to collaboration: → New perspectives emerge. → Hidden solutions surface. → Innovation explodes. Your teams get stronger. One team I worked with... Turned toxic disagreements into breakthrough innovations by changing how they disagreed. ↘ NOT if they disagreed. ↗ The move? → Make it safe to disagree. → Focus on solving, not winning. → Listen to empathize, not just understand. Use your differences to fuel innovation. You're not solving conflict if... → People stay quiet in meetings. → "Yes" is the only answer you hear. → Solutions come from the same voices.
