The 420 Justice Fund is designed to empower cannabis entrepreneurs in the minority community with capital and mentoring from the license application to the successful operation of a licensed cannabis startup in the adult-use and medical marijuana sectors. Beginning with California Prop 64, cannabis adult-use legislation began to provide preferences for racial minorities in the licensing process. As additional states legalize adult-use and medical marijuana, legislators tried to address the disproportionate impact of the war on drugs in communities of color by favoring minority applicants. These efforts have largely been an empty promise because they fail to provide funding and mentoring, both in the application process and subsequent to it. The 420 Justice Fund is designed to help correct this problem. Limited partnerships are available for accredited investors and family offices that want to invest in social change.
