- Testing with Global Impact - Edwards has had a busy year strengthening international partnerships with the #USAF. ???? Most recently, Mr. Naoshige Aoshima, Deputy Consul General of #Japan in Los Angeles, visited the F-35 Integrated Test Force to learn more about capability enhancements to the Joint Strike Fighter. Japan currently manufactures the aircraft at a Final Assembly and Check Out facility in-country. ???? Later, members of the Argentine Air Force visited the United States Air Force Test Pilot School to learn more on its efforts in #AI research and student development. Thank you for visiting! #AFMC

Coming together for a historic #MissionMonday! A C-130E belonging to the #USAF Flight Test Meseum was recently relocated from Edwards South Base to the primary entrance exhibit area. The careful tow across Edwards roads required closure of gates, roads, power lines and temporary removal of stoplights. This involved extensive #teamwork between Civil Engineering Group, Security Forces, Airfield Operations, and a gaggle of passionate volunteers. The aircraft is now in place, greeting visitors next to the iconic SR-71 to help showcase the cutting-edge history made at Edwards. #AFMC

Our Emerging Technologies Integrated Test Force is excited to partner with Hermeus to evaluate commercial applications for high-speed aircraft. Another first flight on the historic Rogers Dry Lake is upon us.. stay tuned! #AFMC

SPOTTED: Gen. Wickert swearing in the newest leaders of the Edwards AFB Civilian-Military Support Group. The 2024 "Fall Mixer" was a wonderful evening as members of our community continue to work hard for Edwards #Airmen. Over the last year, dorm renovations have continued and scholarships have benefited several #USAF students. New season, new opportunity!? From enlisted to #USAF federal civilians, reserve and guard to contractors, everyone at Edwards is an #Airman. Serving together for a single purpose of testing the future force allows for unique opportunities that can only be found in the Mojave Desert. In FY24 over 700 new civilian positions were successfully filled across nearly every career field, both in #trades and professional. - Executing for the Future.. Right Now - The 412th Test Wing’s Plans and Programs Directorate recently hosted a unified Defense #Acquisition University Workshop. Twenty-three individuals across the 412th Test Wing, 96th Test Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, and the Air Force Test Center attended the two-day DAU experience. The #agile agenda was custom built to reflect both the Wings strategic plan and the reality that Edwards is now dealing with unprecedented demand for resources.
