This week our team members Alex Hollmann and Lauren Titus had the incredible opportunity to give a classroom talk to 7th and 8th graders at Monroe Middle School! As part of their curriculum, students are learning about various career paths they could explore in the future, and we were eager to talk about the joys and rewards that professional event planning can bring! Alex and Lauren taught about the basics of event planning, different types of events, and various vendor roles. Afterwards, the students broke into groups roleplaying as a specific type of vendor to work together on how they would run their business. DJ company "5 DJs" have Michael Jackson inspired backup dancers, caterer "Chicken McChicken" has honed in their menu to provide only the best chicken dishes, and "Flor-real" specializes in hibiscus and rose arrangements for all occasions. Community outreach and engaging with future event professionals is something that we highly value, and seeing the student's excitement and creativity was hugely revitalizing to our team as we head into our first wedding of the year! #CommunityEngagement #EventsEducation #CreativeEnergy

Welcome to Hannah's Miami Vice-Inspired Bat Mitzvah! What an unforgettable celebration for Hannah as she officially became a Bat Mitzvah in the most stylish way! The Miami Vice theme brought a vibrant, tropical energy that set the stage for an incredible night filled with fun, family, and memories. From the moment guests entered, they were transported to a world of flamingos, palm leaves, and neon! The atmosphere was elevated with the glowing hues of teal and pink uplighting, adding that Miami flair, and the VIP lounge was the ultimate hangout spot for the coolest guests to chill out in style. Hannah’s favorite candies were front and center at the fully stocked candy bar, and guests were treated to a custom tropical mocktail, complete with glitter and cotton candy! To top it off, Hannah's friends all took home a custom sweatshirt as a perfect memento from the evening. The night was made even more special with a traditional candle lighting ceremony that honored Hannah’s incredible friends and family. And talk about a party—Hannah’s family really brought the energy with an epic improv karaoke performance from her dad and aunt to kick off the dance floor. Hannah, you truly shone tonight. Nothing like a little inventory overhaul! Going through our storage units today was like opening a time capsule from the last two years of events, and yielded some exciting treasures. 200 tea cups, 40 lazy Susans, bunches of fake snow, and SO MANY votives... each count brought back a rush of memories.
