Custom metal fabrication is typically about working with metal (no kidding, right?). Occasionally, though, other materials are incorporated. The fabrication experts at 3Up Metal Works designed and created this new entryway to the break room at a south side coffee shop. Aluminum and plexiglass were used in the new wall, whose transparency significantly brightens the interior space. The left and top right images display the new structure; middle and bottom right images, the former. It's always an honor to help others see (and enjoy) the light!

Fall Protection - General Requirements: 6,307 OSHA increased its fines nearly 3 percent, too! Maximum penalties for "serious" and "other-than-serious" violations are $16,550; if a violation is defined as "willful" or "repeated," it can cost $165,514! The takeaways? Keep infrastructure updated, and always put safety first!

Maximum penalties for "willful" or "repeated violations" run $165,514. This isn't walking-around money (for most of us, at least). If you're aware of needed safety improvements, the potential (literal) cost of not addressing them is higher than ever.
