It was a great day to be on campus at Colorado School of Mines for 3D CIC Conference #3DCIC 2025! It’s always wonderful to see everyone at our opening reception and CAD & Cocktails. Can’t wait for day 2!

Introducing Hot Takes. What is Hot Takes? /?hɑ?t ?te?k/?n.?a quickly-produced, strongly-worded, deliberatively discussion-generating opinion in response to a recent idea or statement. GOAL: Ignite Collaborative Discussion During planned 20-min time blocks throughout the conference, attendees will be asked by a moderator to share their quickly-produced, strongly-worded, deliberatively discussion-generating opinions. For example: If the hot take is "Pineapple is the best pizza topping", here are some possible responses: → Absolutely! The sweet and tangy contrast against the savory cheese and tomato sauce is a flavor masterpiece. If you don't like it, you just haven't had it done well! → No way. Pinapple on a pizza is an abomination. Fruit has no business on a pizza, unless it's a tomato-and even that's pushing it. → Look, pineapple on pizza works, but only with the right pairings. Throw some jalapenos or bacon on there, and now we're talking. Otherwise, it's just a soggy mess. → From a culinary engineering standpoint, pineapple introduces too much moisture, which can compromise the integrity of the crust. If you want optimal pizza performance, skip the fruit. → Pineapple is great, but let’s talk about real innovation—how about bananas on pizza? Now *that’s* the future! *The most upvoted and thought-provoking topics will be brought to the stage and the audience will have the opportunity to respond live.
