More about Jordan Hall Q. What do you enjoy most about working at 3AM Innovations? A. The thing I enjoy most about working at 3AM is the variety of things I get to work on. One month I could be working on a project involving 3D Graphics and learning about low-level Android the next. Things are always interesting. Q. What’s one project or achievement you're particularly proud of? A. I'm proud of the work the team did leveraging BLE for hands-free incident joining. It was challenging from a technical perspective and it's one of those features that demonstrates the team's commitment to giving our customers incredible technology. Without adding additional complexity to what is already difficult work. Q. What is an interesting fact about you that others might not know????? A. My brother and I used to make music together as an experimental musical project. More broadly artistic projects of varying kinds are things I enjoy in my free time.

So proud of our colleague Benjamin Swart and incredibly grateful to him and all the other responders who have been battling the Sterling Wildfire.
We are on the third day of our 72 hour deployment to Greenwood Lake for the Sterling Wildfire. The fire is over 5000 acres in size and now close to being fully suppressed. Catskill fire dept was originally used as a standby crew for Greenwood Lake FD on Saturday upon our arrival. As we were waiting around, we were watching the smoke increase on top of the mountain to the right of Edgemere road in Greenwood Lake. By around 4pm we were upgraded with an assignment to go protect 42 and 44 Edgemere road as the fire had jumped a fire line. Catskill FD setup in the back yard of 42 Edgemere and wet down the area and the houses. It was then a waiting game as the fire crept down the mountain side too us. Seeing fire slowly approach you and 12 houses was certainly an experience I’ll never forget. By about midnight, we began fighting the fire with smooth bore nozzles to get as far a reach as possible. We got a good stop on the fire and protected the houses we were stationed at. By 3AM we were relieved by another crew as we had been up for 24 hours. The following day, we went back to the same area to put out spot fires and hot spots. This took all day as much of the fire was smoldering under rocks and the leaf buildup was 2 feet deep in some spots. Images of this are in the order they were taken to show the progression of our work. Today we are waiting our assignment at the IC for the day. I’m so proud of our crew and all the support from other FDs and community. It’s been an amazing and meaningful experience to be here!

Another excellent operation with Arlington County Fire Department, Arlington, VA team on the books! Always a pleasure to work with this outstanding team.
Well, that’s a wrap on another year of coordinating Arlington County Fire Department, Arlington, VA’s premier events, the Army Ten-Miler and United States Marine Corps Marathon. Reflecting on our efforts, I’m especially proud of how we aligned our activities with our community expectations and living up to our commitment to serve and support the Arlington County Government residents. I also appreciate the trust my supervisors placed in me, granting the autonomy needed to navigate the complexities and challenges of these events. A big shoutout to the MCM medical coordinator, Michele "Shelly" Weinstein PT, EdD, ATC Board Certified Sports PT and her outstanding team for their meticulous planning and deep compassion. Her leadership is crucial, effortlessly handling complex challenges with the kind of expertise that has become fundamental to the event’s success. We were also fortunate to have Patrick OConnor of 3AM Innovations Inc. on-site assisting us with the FLORIAN incident command software. This system is designed to meet specific operational needs, tracking resources and assets, delivering critical situational information, and ensuring robust communication—even during the busiest moments. It really improved our response speed and effectiveness, making a big difference on the ground and in the command center. Special thanks to the National Capital Region Incident Management Team (NCR-IMT) for enhancing our Incident Action Plan. Their support helped to fill gaps and also allowed me a few cherished hours to disconnect and enjoy a performance by the Washington Ballet with my family—a rare treat during such a busy season! A sobering insight emerged during the MCM Fun Run, where I talked with a few of the teachers with some of these young runners who suffered from heat illnesses. Despite challenges like food insecurity, these kids still showed up with incredible energy to participate. This highlights the important role of community events—they go beyond physical activity by fostering inclusion and support and offering a positive, safe space for kids to have fun and receive encouragement they might not find elsewhere. Thank you to all the departments and partners involved—your #teamwork and collaborative spirit were key to the day’s success.
