Join us on March 24 at 6 p.m. on Zoom to learn more about the Vermont Gas Systems ANGP (Addison Natural Gas Project) pipeline permit. The ANGP is a badly built, dangerous pipeline carrying fracked gas. We have the opportunity to stop the pipeline from running and need your help submitting comments! During this session, we'll share some talking points and then have time for folks to draft brief comments to share with the PUC. RSVP in bio!

In order to continue running their poorly built, polluting fracked gas pipeline (ANGP—the Addison Natural Gas Project), Vermont Gas Systems (VGS) needs a new Certificate of Public Good. We have the opportunity to speak out against the pipeline and stop it from running! On Thursday, March 27th, a public hearing will begin at 7:00 p.m., preceded by a presentation from VGS at 6 p.m., at the Vergennes Opera House. To comment, please reach out to [email protected]. This Sunday, March 16, meet us at Burlington's Downtown Transit Center at 11:30! (45 St. Paul St., Green Mountain Transit kiosk.) Right at 11:45, we’ll hop onto some routes being cut, talk with other riders, and get petitions signed to stop cuts. The Vermont legislature is considering a bill to expand housing access for immigrant families. Developed by Migrant Justice and supported by dozens of organizations and agencies, the proposal would stop discrimination against immigrants and prevent landlords from asking about immigration status. Vermont's legislators need to hear from you! Take a moment to email your Senators and Representatives to voice your support for Housing Access for Immigrant Families. On Saturday, February 22, "Ride the Bus Day of Action" occurred at the Downtown Transit Center in Burlington, educating people about the proposed cuts to public transit in Vermont. Don't worry if you missed the first one; more "Ride the Bus Day" events will happen over the next two Sundays, and more information will be coming soon. The Climate Action Plan is Vermont's guiding force for climate policy. We want this plan to become more effective and just. That is why we ask you to comment in person at public meetings on March 10 (ideal) or submit it in writing by March 5. Link in bio!
