Last week, we had the pleasure of partnering with the City of Elk Grove for an impactful in-person workshop on Emotional Intelligence! Facilitated by our talented team members, Alisa and Dahlia, this session equipped City of Elk Grove staff with valuable tools to strengthen self-awareness, enhance empathy, and build stronger connections—both within their teams and with the community they serve. Emotional Intelligence is more than just a skill; it’s the foundation for leading with purpose and fostering a positive, thriving environment. The workshop served as a powerful reminder that every individual in the community has a unique story, inspiring participants to reflect inward, approach their roles with deeper understanding and empathy. It also highlighted the importance of recognizing the personal space and balance they need to maintain resilience while serving others. Central to the session were the keys to Emotional Intelligence: awareness, understanding, and empathy. Empathy—the essential "E" in Emotional Intelligence—was emphasized as a guiding force for creating meaningful connections and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment both within their teams and across the community.
