?? ‘The Stimming Pool’: A Groundbreaking Film by Autistic Creators ???? Imagine a film about autism, made BY autistic creators, that lets you experience the world through their eyes—without captions, without commentary, just pure, raw perspective. Screenings: Across the UK This is the kind of authentic, first-person storytelling that reshapes how we understand neurodivergence. Let’s get behind this project and show the world that autistic voices deserve to be heard—on their own terms. Tagging some incredible organizations, creators, and advocates who are championing neurodiversity in media & beyond! ?? Wellcome Trust | Steven Eastwood | autistic Au | The National Autistic Society | British Film Institute (BFI) | BBC Film | Netflix UK & Ireland | Amazon UK | BAFTA | Guardian Films ?? • Arkansas & Massachusetts Are Leading the Way for Autistic Drivers! ?????? When states actually listen and create policies that make sense? WE LOVE TO SEE IT! ???? Both Arkansas and Massachusetts have rolled out the "Blue Envelope" program, designed to help autistic drivers communicate with police during traffic stops—because stress, flashing lights, and miscommunication? Not a good mix. ?? How It Works: Autistic drivers can keep their documents in a special BLUE envelope from the DMV. During a traffic stop, handing over the blue envelope signals to officers, “Hey, I have autism.” It reduces anxiety, prevents miscommunication, and ensures a safer, smoother experience for both drivers and officers. ?? Simple. Smart. Effective. ?? ?? Big applause to the teams in both Arkansas and Massachusetts for making this happen! THIS is how you create respectful, practical solutions that actually help neurodivergent individuals in everyday situations. No fluff, no confusion—just real support. Now, who's next? Other states, step it up! ????(VA I'm looking at you ??) ?? Do you think the Blue Envelope program should be a national policy? • ?? Could a Simple, Affordable Treatment Help Nonverbal Autistic Children Speak? ????? Imagine a child who has never spoken a word—suddenly saying “Mom” for the first time. That’s what some parents and doctors are witnessing after introducing a little-known medication called Leucovorin (Folinic Acid). Originally used to counteract chemotherapy side effects, leucovorin is now showing promise in autism research—specifically for nonverbal children. Dr. Richard Frye, a leading pediatric neurologist, has observed significant improvements in speech and language development, with some children speaking their first words shortly after starting treatment. So why isn’t this widely known? Despite being affordable and available, leucovorin remains an off-label treatment. Research funding is limited, and without FDA approval for autism, access remains a challenge. ?? Should we be investing more into researching accessible autism treatments like this? ?? Have you or someone you know tried folinic acid for autism? What was the experience? The potential is too big to ignore. Let’s talk about it. ?? #AutismResearch #Leucovorin #Neurodiversity #AutismAwareness #SpeechDevelopment #Pediatrics #HealthcareInnovation #Parenting #MedicalBreakthrough #ScienceMatters #InclusionMatters

Bridging the Gap: How Dotpad Design is Revolutionizing Inclusion for the Visually Impaired Innovation is at its best when it breaks barriers, and the Dot Pad is a perfect example of that. This groundbreaking tactile interface is transforming accessibility by making visual content readable through touch, giving visually impaired individuals unprecedented access to graphics, images, and digital information. ??? What makes this even more powerful? The intersection of autism and visual impairment. Research shows that individuals with autism are at a significantly higher risk of vision-related challenges—studies indicate that between 20% and 44% of children with ASD have major refractive errors, while congenital blindness makes ASD 30 times more common in affected individuals. For those navigating both autism and visual impairments, tools like Dot Pad offer a new way to interact with the world. By converting visual data into tactile graphics, it not only fosters independence but also caters to diverse learning needs, ensuring that no one is left behind.
