Two by Four’s Performance Media team had a great time at the Path to Purchase Institute’s #RetailMediaSummit in Chicago last week. A few takeaways from the conference: Retail media is media. There isn’t a national brand campaign and a retail campaign—there’s a brand experience plan that reaches customers across all conceivable touchpoints. Always establish effective measurement parameters and benchmarks at the onset of a campaign—the P&L is the single source of truth, and all efforts must work to impact that goal. While bringing in new customers is key, having strong brand affinity and defense is imperative to long-term success.
