Today, on Veterans Day, we pause to honor the courageous men and women who have served to protect our freedoms and our future. As we reflect on the sacrifices made by those in uniform, I am reminded of a very personal connection to this day: the liberation of my grandparents in 1945 in the Netherlands. The arrival of Allied forces was a powerful testament to the courage, unity, and resilience that veterans embody—a legacy that resonates deeply within my family to this day. At CxO Coaching (a 2Swell company), we are inspired by these values of service and commitment and strive to bring them into our work. Just as those veterans showed selfless dedication, our mission is to support leaders in creating positive, lasting impacts within their organizations. On this Memorial Day, as we reflect on the sacrifices of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great nation, I am reminded of the profound personal debt of gratitude we owe to the American Army and its allied forces who liberated the Dutch people in 1945 from Nazi Germany. Their courage and selflessness ensured the liberation of countless individuals, including members of my own ancestral extended family. The memory of over 400 cherished relatives lost during the Holocaust serves as a stark reminder of the horrors of tyranny. Without the sacrifices of these valiant soldiers, I would not be here today, nor would many others. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we cherish, and on this day, we honor their memory by pledging to never forget their sacrifices and the evil they fought to save us. 🇺🇸
