That is not where I parked my car... or drone. Things go wrong when you are flying a drone, it's just part of the discipline. Learning to fly with 35 mph wind gusts is very very difficult. Sometimes that means you crash into the dirt other times you just get tossed into a tree. We give students a safe environment and our training fleet of drones so they can make mistakes and learn with fewer consequences. They can still leave the class with their new experience... and fresh equipment. Ready to continue their FPV journey. Despite the conditions half of our students progressed to flying 5" drones on DAY 1. We couldn't be more proud of these young Soldiers! What is keeping you from learning how to fly? At Craitor, we often joke that we're invited to the coolest places on Earth at the absolute worst times to visit—think Okinawa during monsoon season, or Alaska in the dead of winter. But this time, fortune smiled on us: we found ourselves on a beautiful KBay beach in Oahu, spending 6 hours printing critical parts and small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). Definitely not a bad way to spend the day. Craitor will be sharing more about our recent testing and demonstrations conducted on-island in the coming weeks. Friday Afternoon Drop: Our first civilian FPV Crash Course will take place at the Polecat Racetrack in Lynchburg, Tennessee from March 8th to 9th! Come to Lynchburg (home of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey) and learn to fly and repair your own high-speed FPV drone. Train with Drone Racers, Special Forces Veterans and our own 2OE Design Engineers as they all teach you how to fly HOURGLASS, our patent-pending tri-plane drone design. Attendees will start with a small FPV drone, then work their way up to our powerful 10" FPV platform. Attendees will also gain a detailed, hands-on understanding of FPV components, allowing them to perform basic repairs as they safely improve their skills at their home locations. A fellow Class of 2005 West Point graduate, Morgan has nearly two decades of military experience as an Army Infantry and Special Forces Officer. He held a variety of positions in operations management, training development, and command. He has first hand experience deploying our Country’s most advanced autonomous weapons and has been on the receiving end of the latest advances in UAS borne improvised weapons. Exactly the kind of experience he will bring to our training and products! LTC Brown left Active Duty a couple of years ago to earn his JD and spent some time working as a prosecutor before I was able to convince him to join the dark side, private sector. With this kind of background, you would correctly assume that he has not spent a lot of time on social media.
