With world-class research, bold entrepreneurs, and a collaborative ecosystem, this region is primed to tackle global challenges with groundbreaking innovation. We're introducing "The Spotlight" to showcase 10 transformative deep tech startups from the Triangle each year. We believe in the immense potential of founders building in the physical and life sciences, and we don't think those founders and their companies receive enough attention. With this new support from the Bezos Earth Fund, NCSU continues to drive forward cutting-edge solutions to global challenges. This grant is one of many examples demonstrating the breadth and quality of innovation taking place here in the Triangle. Congratulations, North Carolina State University!

Big news! DocFox, one of our portfolio companies at 2ndF, has been acquired by nCino, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCNO). Wilmington’s nCino, a leader in cloud banking solutions, has acquired DocFox for $75 million. DocFox specializes in automating onboarding systems for commercial and business banking. We’ve enjoyed partnering with Ryan Canin through this journey, and are excited to see what the next chapter holds!
