Happy Labor Day 2024! Today, we pay tribute to all working men and women, who have been celebrated on this national holiday in the United States and Canada since 1894. They have been the backbone of America, strengthening her existence day after day. For many, Labor Day is simply a day off, marking the end of summer with one last BBQ before the fall season arrives. However, the significance of this day lies in its origins during the late 1800s, amidst the US Industrial Revolution. Workers, including children as young as 5 or 6, endured grueling conditions, working long hours with minimal pay and inadequate safety measures. Reflecting on the historical journey of Labor Day, we acknowledge the progress made from the challenging conditions of the past to the present day in 2024. This day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by many to improve working conditions and workers' rights. As we celebrate Labor Day, let's express gratitude for the progress we have achieved and the sacrifices made along the way. Despite the challenges faced in recent years, let us take a moment to appreciate the dedication and hard work of all workers.
