Key findings include: Economic Powerhouse: Providence’s nightlife sector generates $990 million annually, including: $620 million in direct economic contributions $367 million in indirect and induced activity Thriving Nightlife Scene: 630+ nightlife businesses supporting 7,900 direct jobs and 9,900 total jobs 30% of Rhode Island’s bars and clubs are located in Providence A Unique Nighttime Landscape: Providence stands out nationally with: More nightlife establishments per capita than NYC A student population share larger than Philadelphia Commercial rents half the cost of Boston A population as international as Los Angeles Providence is proving that a well-supported nightlife economy is a key driver of urban success.
