Since our founding in 1965, 232-Help/Louisiana 211 has been fortunate to have the highest quality of Board Members, and we are proud to introduce you to our newest additions. With these new members added to our already robust board, we are ready to tackle our 60th year, and find more ways to serve Acadiana!
We are excited to announce that in our nearly 60 year history, we are recruiting for our VERY FIRST Young Professional Board! We have an incredible Board of Directors consisting of many community leaders, but we recognize that giving younger professionals the opportunity to have a voice in our agency's future can only benefit 232-Help/Louisiana 211. MEET OUR BOARD James "Jim" Pate has been an integral part of the governing board of 232-Help for many years now. The common thread throughout our board members over the years has been a desire for justice and equal access to resources for everyone in Acadiana, regardless of means. Jim Pate embodies this through his words and actions. Reliable and solid are just two of the words that we would use to describe Jim, and we are thankful to have him for guidance. MEET OUR BOARD Stuart Bowie is the current Board Treasurer of 232-Help as well as a member of our Executive Committee. Besides being a loyal advisor to our agency, Stuart also serves as the Administrative Adjudication Bureau Judge overseeing the recent Himbola Manor case in Lafayette. His strong sense of fairness and justice for our disadvantaged neighbors makes him a good fit for 232-Help, whose main purpose is providing resources and advocacy for those in need. MEET OUR BOARD Dr. Frank "Jay" Culotta, Jr., is our current Board Secretary as well as Executive Committee member. Jay is an important part of the small group of individuals who are actively involved in the day to day functioning of 232-Help. Besides being a highly specialized surgeon, Jay is also an artist and strong supporter of the arts in Acadiana. Jay's steadfast demeanor makes him a highly valued advisor to our agency.
