The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) National Technical Assistance Centers (NTAC) is the premier place for out-of-school time professionals to learn, collect resources, and engage with peers and experts. Funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the center’s primary goal is to support the professionals who operate Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC programs across the nation, building their capacity and empowering them in their own educational journey toward learning and continuous growth. More than 85,000 professionals support students and families in over 10,000 sites across the nation that offer academic and enrichment activities to more than a million students in high-poverty, low-performing schools during nonschool hours. These professionals also support more than 350,000 families and 11,000 volunteers. So, the vision and mission of the 21st CCLC NTAC is to ensure that these professionals have the knowledge and skills they need to implement exciting and innovative programs for students and families — and have a place to share best practices, engage with evidence-based resources, and participate in professional learning opportunities to ultimately help students and families build lasting success as lifelong learners.
