We are happy to share this opportunity for #philanthropicadvisors to contribute to #research about the philanthropic advisor landscape. From the researchers: "Gates’ Philanthropic Partnerships team and?The Bridgespan Group are partnering to?conduct research on the global landscape of philanthropic advisors, a market that is critical to moving capital to help people and planet, yet fragmented, with many advisors operating in isolation. We hope to develop and share a more?detailed and comprehensive picture of the philanthropic advisor landscape?to?better support advisors’ roles.? ? For the purposes of this research, philanthropic advisors are defined as individuals and organizations who work directly with high wealth individuals and families on their philanthropy (including grants as well as the work of operating foundations). This includes advisors whose full-time and primary focus is philanthropy, as well as those who may provide a range of services to families that include philanthropic advising.???? ? Link to the survey is in the comments, which is anticipated to take 15-20 minutes to complete. The survey will be open until Friday, February 28th?and?we will share?a copy of aggregated survey findings and relevant data insights (i.e. by geography, by type of work) later this spring with respondents who provide their contact information within their survey responses. Please feel free to share this survey with others who advise donors on their giving!"

Join us in Atlanta on February 12-13, 2025 for a special “Approach Training” tailored to the needs of?single family office and family foundation professionals. Participants will learn tried and true approaches for engaging family members in productive conversations about values, legacy and relationships. By focusing on the human side of the family enterprise, attendees are able to increase the efficiency and impact of planning, governance and investment activities for current and future generations. Here are what some of last year's participants are saying: Jill Barber, President, CYMI Holdings: "This training gives us a chance to step out of the technical and the hectic day-to-day that we all have in family enterprises, and gives us tools and techniques that we can use with family members to spend more time on the E.Q. side of the house." Scott Peppet, President, Chai Trust Company: "It's fundamentally important in the world of family enterprise, how professionals show up. How they listen; how they talk to people; the assumptions they?bring; and their own values. This training gives people an opportunity to reflect on those things." Program content will be consistent with 21/64's general Approach training; however, we will frame real world scenarios specifically through a family enterprise lens. The?Approach Training?is a certification program that explores the human dimension of working with next generation and multigenerational family enterprises. Attendees learn how to help clients clarify their identities, which in turn informs governance, family engagement, and structures for decision-making.?Visit our site for more information: https://lnkd.in/eqHYQYRN

A heartfelt thank you to author David Jay for joining Executive Director Danielle Oristian York and the 21/64 community at yesterday’s book talk on Relationality. We are honored to share a special milestone with you—the release of a report marking 20 years of next gen donor engagement through 21/64’s Grand Street program.? The first longitudinal study of its kind, this report provides a comprehensive look at the evolution of next gen donors, first-person quotes and stories from donors, and strategies for engaging this critical group.? ? The success of Grand Street has given rise to other significant next gen donor programs and initiatives in the sector and helped inspire philanthropic learning journeys across the globe. Through the Grand Street program and next gen work, 21/64 remains committed to empowering next gen donors with the tools and confidence to navigate their philanthropic roles, making a lasting impact in communities with which they’re involved.? ? Grand Street would not have been possible without the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies whose investment secured many years of Grand Street and other next gen programs run by 21/64. Thanks to the Joyce and Irving Goldman Family Foundation, who stepped in to support Grand Street in a significant way after ACBP sunset, and to their next gen family member Joya Sonnenfeldt whose leadership helped make this report possible. Lastly thanks to the fifteen other Grand Street members and their families who contributed to the program to pay it forward for future members to attend, learn and grow. ?
