My favorite people to meet with are small-team marketers. They're innovative, self-observant, happy to fail and learn, appreciate a good meme, and always striving for greatness. I'd meet with them even if the microphone wasn't recording. And that's now going to be the case, after... 4 seasons, 110+ episodes, Ranking in the top 10% of marketing podcasts, Getting sponsored by Chili Piper, Interviewing incredible guests like Jess Cook, Justin Simon, Rayna van Beuzekom ?? Jon Itkin, Elizabeth H. - and SO many more... I'm candidly quite sad to say that Ashley McGovern and I are wrapping up our time as hosts of the 2 Pizza Marketing podcast. ?? Quite sad. But I'm mostly: grateful. ?? For my amazing guests over 4 seasons. You make me smile and keep the tank running. ?? For my amazing co-host Ashley McGovern who took a bet on things and brings such creativity and sparkle into my days ?? For learning how to podcast, interview, and listen to my own voice (eew) ?? For learning tools like Descript Buzzsprout SquadCast.fm by Descript Canva You can still find the brand at www[dot]2pizzamarketing[dot]com and we're still meeting on Slack and Matcha ?? for anyone who wants to connect. Stay tuned... This may not be the end. But it is for me, for now. And it's been an honor.

Product launches shouldn’t just be events—they should be experiences. That is why we went beyond the usual playbook for our Demo Hub launch. Here’s how we did it: ? We centered everything around a clear narrative: one demo isn’t enough to educate today’s buyer. ? We teamed up with LinkedIn creators like Ryan Quindlen ?? from Laudable and Travis Tyler to bring humor into the mix and make our message stick. ? We built buzz by sending out secret swag boxes with a cryptic note: “Something big is coming. One demo isn’t enough,” which sparked curiosity and got people talking. ? Weekly teasers kept anticipation high, all leading up to our live event. Madhav Bhandari talks about nailing product launches in 2 Pizza Marketing's podcast with Ashley McGovern. ?? OH YEAHHHHH... Our guest this week was the social media voice of The Koolaid Man! ?? ...And that's the least interesting of all of the stories he shares! Pop in those airpods to listen to Zachary Walker and host Melissa Moody ?? chat about: - Lessons we're thinking about as we head into 2025 (Yes, it's almost here) - Why big brand stories have relevance to companies of all sizes ?- What happens when a client tries to influence the influencers (hint: things get awkward) And as always - let us know what you think! Have a great week ahead, 2 Pizza Marketers! #podcast #marketingtips

One of the reasons I started posting on LinkedIn: A clear lack of representation on the platform. Few women. Fewer people of color. The only way for change is to *be* it, no? A year later, post after post, comment after comment, relationship after relationship, I clawed my way onto the map. And it was worth it because: Last month, I was on 4 very special podcasts. ALL women-led. ???? Good timing with National Women's Equality Day, which marks when our voices counted for something. And dang, did we use those voices on: 1) Women in B2B with Jane Serra 2) That's Marketing Baby! with Jess Cook & Susan Wenograd 3) 2 Pizza Marketing with Ashley McGovern 4) Content Logistics with Baylee Gunnell & Dallion Durán-Ballén There's everything from landing pages to backstories and interesting managers. ?? They all thanked me for being a guest but I should thank them for making it possible for more of us to tell our stories. So thank you, ladies, because a year ago, I was another silent voice. Today, you gave me a mic and platform. THAT'S women supporting women. ??

Picture this: You've organized a live event to unveil a major product release in front of hundreds of people. Just days before the event, you receive an urgent message from your Head of Engineering: The release is delayed. If you're in tech marketing, this scenario might sound all too familiar. Madhav Bhandari, Head of Marketing at Storylane, knows the feeling well. In a recent conversation with host Ashley McGovern, Madhav shared his thoughts on executing successful product launches, recounted some product launch nightmares, and discussed the power of interactive demos. Chow down on this podcast episode now on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. ??

Uncertain about the future of B2B content marketing? While it’s impossible to know for sure, we marketers thrive on research, collaboration, and predicting trends. That’s exactly what Ashley McGovern did with Tiffany De Alva on the latest episode of Tiff Talks Tech. (Heads up: This episode is especially valuable for proptech marketers!) If you've ever had to "do marketing" at a company that has less than zero dollars (read: Chapter 11 bankruptcy)... you know the true meaning of scrappy. And if you're just morbidly curious to hear how that goes... you're going to want to listen to the latest episode that dropped this week. You've likely heard her insights here on LinkedIn, as a thought leader for work-life balance, startup marketing, and Nectar - now listen in to a candid conversation with Emily Mireault, PMP? that dives into: - her take on the generalist vs. specialist debate - why she likes to change up what she's doing every 6-12 months - her curiosity about marketers creating their own 'portfolios' - and how... under Chapter 11... she took repurposing content to a whole 'nother level Pop those pods in your ears and give it a listen: Spotify: https://lnkd.in/ghfqjjHU Apple: https://lnkd.in/gUsYsVNQ #podcast #bankruptcy #chapter11 #startupmarketing

It's that time again... Friday FIVE! 5?? Here are 5 things worth checking out right now: ?? Big news this week - Melissa Rosenthal officially announced her new company Outlever. Their goal is to help brands engage prospects and partners with editorial outreach at scale (think data, media listening, competitive intelligence, and content gen bundled into one). I don't know much more yet, but I'm *intrigued* and excited to learn the deets in a demo next week --- one thing I do know? Anything Melissa touches is bound to be gold. ?? ?? My girl Elizabeth H. was on an episode of 2 Pizza Marketing back in March talking all about "Revenue Protection" and when/why early stage companies need to focus on BRAND. Brand touches demand, sales enablement, employee & customer retention, product experience - and really, everything! If you haven't yet, have a listen (and follow her for a feed boost). ?? Who else caught the cool exchange on Ashley Faus's post yesterday? She shared her experience of an eye-catching billboard that drove her to check out the brand's website... which then completely confused her. She didn't share the brand name, but somehow the CMO of said brand figured it out - and had the most (as Ashley put it) wholesome response. He was gracious: thanked, agreed, discussed, and made immediate changes. Super impressed and inspired by his leadership - and tbh, the entire post and threads. Def check it out for some marketing community warm & fuzzies. ??♀? I'm a big fan of ??????*?? ?? ???????? ???????? ???? ?????? by Maricella Herrera Avila - and her latest episode with Lesley Jane Seymour (founder of CoveyClub.com)?does NOT disappoint. ?? Maricella and Lesley have a raw conversation about reinvention - and why we all need to have a reinvention plan in our back pocket. Especially women. One key here? Having an open mindset. Both women are total *powerhouses* - I'm so excited to follow Lesley's work with CoveyClub & beyond. ♀ Speaking of women... MC (Marie-Claire) Silfer ?? called brands out this week - and I'm here for it. She's tired (aren't we all?) of hearing excuses for not having enough women at events - speaking, attending, etc. She listed many ways to fix this and groups that can help: Wednesday Women, Women of SaaS, Saleswomen Unite (and hey, Women in B2B Marketing) to name a few. TL;DR: We need more women on mics and stages. Struggling to book women? Ask for help. Post on LI. Check out these groups. Search podcasts for more diverse guests. ?????????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ?????? ???? ?????? ?????????????????? ?????????????????? ?????? ??'?? ?????????? ???? ???????? ???????? ??????. What else happened this week?? Keep this up? Squash it? LMK ?? ?? PS - shown in photo: my 4 yo's art gallery ?? #B2B #marketing #gtm #friday5

Do you know Lee2B? You might have even seen this rockstar's newest work with SmartPass? And you'd be smart to assume: He can do most anything he puts his mind to. That's why, like any willing-and-able 2 Pizza Marketer, he said YES when a previous company asked him to do an ENTIRE WEBSITE MIGRATION PROJECT? (Technical tidbits and all.) Yeahhhhhh.... Who else out there has agreed to do things like this? - because they can - because no one else will - because it's a good 'learning experience' You're going to want to listen to this episode from the talented, brilliant, and candid Lee Moskowitz ?? - our latest guest on 2 Pizza Marketing! #marketerlife #marketing
