This case study presentation illustrates the intentional collaboration between 1st class Educator and the Decatur Public School 61 District leadership and the process for crafting the four phase professional development that has been deployed throughout the district. After moving forward with starting an educational consulting firm in 2019, I knew this journey and chosen path would impact the education industry in many positive ways. 1st Class Educator is hyper focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion being embedded in all of our services. I Always loving sharing our work with the community stakeholders in Districts where 1st Class Educator, LLC serves*!*???? I value communication and transparency with not only District Leaders but all of the community stakeholders that are the beneficiaries of our work. Being able to showcase the transformative work taking place with instructional practices and processes is a great feeling!!! For the past two school years the 1st Class Educator team has provided Instructional Coaching and Modeling to non-certified staff and district-wide specialized support for Professional Learning Communities. The best part about this work is seeing the educators grow in their profession and to witness how students learning is being enhanced. ????? ?????? ???????? ?? ????????????-?????????????? ???? ????!?????? ?Major S/O to Principal Tasia Burks of THEE Hope Academy and S/O to 1st Class Educator’s Mrs. Deidre Turner, one of our Licensed Professional Counselor who administers our Trauma Informed professional development. ?As the founder of 1st Class Educator, LLC it is always a pleasure to see our programs in action and to hear from the participants. Principal Burks is unwavering in providing her staff with the supports they need through selective professional development. We spent much time reviewing data and feedback from staff as we crafted her programs. Mrs. Turner has been so intentional about tailoring each sessions to the needs of Principal Burks’ staff and to know that the educators are being transformed is next level. ?During this trauma informed session teachers engaged with identifying their triggers and becoming aware of how the triggers physically impact their body. Listening to the educators share about how they have been successful in using many of the strategies at home and with their students was so filling. Our goal is enhancing the landscape of our education system and that starts with healthy teachers and students. Mission accomplished!!!!
