This week I'm excited to be joining a bunch of very interesting people at the 1EdTech Consortium Learning Impact Europe event in Barcelona. Along with Tibert Van Dijk from SURF, I'll be sharing some of the exciting progress we've made so far towards building our EuroTeQ Engineering University virtual campus - particularly the strategy, decisions and work behind implementing our joint, automated course catalogue. Always looking to make something fit-for-the-future, we’ll be talking about what's gone pretty well, what's been painful, and what's are the big plans and (hopefully small) problems we're tackling in the years to come. ? Very much looking forward to hearing the latest developments, ideas, and big questions about the future of education.

This week I'm looking forward to join the 1EdTech Consortium Learning Impact Europe conference for the first time. It's a pleasure to contribute to two conference sessions and the GéANT TF-EDU pre-workshop. Together with Channa van der Brug, Evelien Renders, Stefan Jahnke & José Ignacio Castro Zamora from the European Digital Education Hub (#EDEH) consortium as well as our Interoperability Workgroup members Kay Berkling (Prof'in) & Vlad Petcu we'll be discussing the progress made by the Higher Education Interoperability workgroup of the hub. Join us to get a better idea what to expect from the European Higher Education Interoperability Framework, scheduled to be launched in January 2025. We'll also be discussing the EDEH interoperability work with the GéANT TF-EDU coordinated by Gy?ngyi Horváth. My other session will be about the QualityLink project (https://quality-link.eu/), which closely relates to the discovery (= course catalogue) use case in EDEH. In the QualityLink project we're working towards an open architecture for exchanging quality data on micro-credentials, study programmes and courses. The session will focus on the key components of the architecture we're imagining and our initial proposals how to build on existing standards such as the European Learning Model (#ELM), the Open Education API (#OOAPI) and 1EdTech's Edu-API. The EDEH Interoperability work is managed by DAAD Brussels, Deloitte, Knowledge Innovation Centre, SURF and Stifterverband under a service contract by the European Commission - QualityLink is an Erasmus+ project by Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW), Mondragon Unibertsitatea, EDEN Digital Learning Europe, EUF - European University Foundation and Knowledge Innovation Centre.
