Shared a 3-step roadmap to drive inclusion through tailored wellbeing initiatives and highlighted the need for open dialogue and the ROI of investing in workplace wellbeing. Sheryl Carroll- Unlocking Women’s Potential: Explored the nuanced challenges of women’s health, including endometriosis, fertility, and perimenopause. Called for top-down cultural change to address stigma and absenteeism related to hormonal health. Advocated for regular, meaningful workplace wellbeing initiatives beyond occasional training sessions. Lucienne M. - Leading with OCD: Debunked misconceptions about OCD and emphasised its humanised understanding. Stressed the importance of creating safe, people-first workplaces that foster deeper, non-transactional communication. Highlighted the need to address shame and stress triggers for employees with OCD. Nicole Ratcliffe ??- Inclusion Starts with Rest: Linked sleep health to gender equity and workplace productivity. Revealed that women and parents disproportionately suffer from sleep deprivation, impacting their performance and retention. Called for flexible working norms and normalising conversations about sleep to support working parents. Kisha Payton - Storytelling Drives DEI Culture: Showed how storytelling empowers employees to share their experiences, driving deeper DEI engagement. Highlighted the DEI Mindset Map and inclusive meeting practices like pronoun sharing. Stressed that allyship is a verb, requiring continuous action to create an inclusive culture. The Critical Role of Psychological Safety in Driving Business Success Psychological safety has become an essential driver of organizational success, as highlighted by Geffrye Parsons, Founder and CEO of The Inclusion Imperative, at the Global DEI Conference. Defined by Amy Edmondson as a “shared belief that the environment is safe for interpersonal risk-taking,” psychological safety enables employees to embrace challenges, take risks, and learn from failures without fear of negative repercussions. Parsons expands on this, emphasizing Timothy Clark’s concept of “rewarded vulnerability,” where openness and contributions are valued, not punished. Parsons introduces a four-stage framework for psychological safety: inclusion safety, learner safety, contributor safety, and challenger safety. These stages emphasize belonging, experimentation, meaningful contributions, and challenging the status quo—critical elements for fostering innovation and resilience. Leaders play a pivotal role by modeling vulnerability, practicing empathy, and fostering psychological ergonomics. By doing so, they create environments that encourage feedback, reduce risk, and drive engagement. The absence of psychological safety leads to disengagement, silence, and poor decision-making. Conversely, organizations that prioritize it experience higher innovation, improved decision-making, and enhanced financial performance. Citing Google’s Project Aristotle and other research, Parsons underscores its measurable impact on team success and business outcomes. Psychological safety, he concludes, is a strategic imperative for leadership in an ever-evolving world.

It’s been a whirlwind of a month, and I wanted to take a moment to share some key highlights with you.
