关于我们
Founded in 1906, ours is one of the oldest and most established architectural firms in California. 19six Architecture, formerly known as PMSM Architecture, first entered the architecture industry over a century ago when A.B. Higginson, an architect and designer in his own right, saw major flaws in the design and structure of local buildings and wanted to improve their quality. What began as a local business in Santa Barbara has since grown into an architecture firm known across California for their award-winning design excellence and commitment to community impact. Our work includes K-12 and Higher Education, Healthcare, Performing Arts, Civic, and Master Planning, as well as architectural and planning services. For over a century, we have served as an extension of our clients, working with them to design dozens of buildings to foster communities and growth. Guy Emanuele Elementary School has been transformed into a dynamic learning environment with versatile education spaces that seamlessly flow from one area to another. Students and teachers can explore a variety of specialized zones, including a media center, makerspace, computer lab, and an inviting outdoor teaching area. An adjacent wellness center provides a safe and supportive space for essential student services. The outdoor area is thoughtfully designed, featuring a curved concrete seat wall, painted concrete surfaces, and dual exterior sinks, fostering hands-on, open-air learning experiences. Adaptable interior furniture enhances flexibility, allowing each space to be easily reconfigured to accommodate evolving programs and activities. Adding to the school's vibrant identity, a custom floor design proudly displays the school’s logo, while bold, lively colors weave a sense of cohesion and energy throughout the learning environment. This transformation reflects a forward-thinking approach to education, inspiring creativity, collaboration, and growth. #K12Design #MakerSpace #K12architecture?
