  • There are a lot of podcasts out there glorifying the 16-hour workday. You know the story: - Wake up at 4 AM - Work 16 hours - Crush the gym - Meditate - Read 50 books a year It sounds impressive until you realise that most of these "hustle heroes" are running on fumes, making bad decisions, and getting less done than they think. Cal Newport explains this with a concept called "attention residue." Every time you switch tasks, a piece of your focus sticks to the last one, making you slower and less effective. Those marathon workdays? Most people are operating at 30% effectiveness. Denise Coates, the founder of Bet365, didn’t build a multi-billion-dollar company by drowning in busy work. She mastered what Newport calls "deep work," which is long, uninterrupted focus on high-impact tasks. In Beyond the Productivity Paradox, Dmitry breaks down: ? The “Focus Funnel” that elite performers use to eliminate 80% of their workload ? Why some of the smartest gaming executives take “Think Weeks” (and how it changed their businesses) ? The unusual ritual top iGaming leaders use to shut off work mode and why it works Working longer hours isn’t the answer. Working deeper is. What do you think is hustle culture pushing our industry forward or burning people out? Let’s hear it. Read more: https://lnkd.in/djkHkAGR

  • If you launch enough games, one will stick. At least, that’s what you thought… Instead of one breakout hit, you’re left with 10 games that barely make a dent. No game gets the attention it truly deserves. No campaign gets the focus it needs to build momentum. Marija Hammon, Marketing Director at Relax Gaming Ltd, always sees this mistake repeated time and time again. “Providers are launching game after game, but if you don’t go all-in on making one stand out, they all fade into the background.” Her advice? Be selective. ? Pick one game per quarter and build everything around it ? Make sure it has a clear, memorable message ? Put all your resources behind making it impossible to ignore ? A few great games with real momentum will always outperform a catalogue no one remembers Imagine you could only launch one game this year. How would you make it impossible to ignore? • If your 404 page isn’t making money, it’s broken. Right now, operators are losing money by ignoring traffic from regions they don’t serve. When Bj?rn Nilsson, Co-Founder and Director at FTDx, joined us on 15M Mastery, he broke down how smart brands are fixing this: - Add a simple code snippet to your 404 pages. - Automatically redirect blocked players to regulated partners. - Collect a revenue share instead of letting them walk away. Most operators assume this traffic is worthless. In reality, it can convert at surprisingly high rates, with some markets seeing up to 4% conversion. That is revenue you could reinvest in core markets, making every pound of your marketing spend work harder. This is a no-brainer if you are running brand campaigns, sponsorships, or affiliate deals. A large percentage of your traffic is already coming from regions you cannot serve. The only question is whether you monetise it or let it go to waste. Check your analytics. See where your traffic is coming from. Then act on it. Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/dmVeh_J5

  • Strategic use of AI will determine iGaming’s biggest winners and biggest failures. In 2025, AI in iGaming is what the internet was in 1999. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon, but only a few knew how to use it strategically. In his guest post, Blask CEO Max T. hammered home this point: AI isn’t a magic bullet. AI should be used as a precision tool meant to solve specific challenges like optimising player retention, preventing fraud, or refining marketing spend. The problem? Too many companies have adopted AI for its own sake without a clear strategy. In the newsletter, A Measured Approach to AI in iGaming, Max reveals: - How AI accurately predicted player preferences, driving engagement and revenue - The fraud detection tactics that stopped bad actors before they could cause damage - Why "AI-powered" doesn’t always mean better and how to separate real innovation from empty marketing Is your AI strategy genuinely delivering quality results? • Most VIP programmes look the same. That’s why they fail. Gold logos. Generic perks. The same tired segmentation models. Yet Gali Hartuv, CEO and Co-Founder of WarriorLab, sees a different future for VIP. One where AI, behavioural insights, and hyper-personalisation redefine what true VIP treatment looks like. "Operators are still using outdated models that everyone copies. There’s no innovation. No differentiation. High-value players expect more." So how do you actually build a VIP programme that stands out? Gali has developed a seven-step blueprint that goes beyond the usual playbook, focusing on deep research, strategic segmentation and technology-driven personalisation. The biggest shift? Bespoke technology. AI-driven CRM. Predictive analytics. Automation that enhances personalisation instead of replacing it. The best VIP programmes aren’t just about high rollers. They are about knowing which players will be high rollers before they even realise it themselves. What is the one thing most operators are still getting wrong about VIP? • Say no to more meetings. When Leo Judkins joined us during season one of 15M, he emphasised how mornings should be reserved for deep work, something our host, Dmitry, firmly believes in as well. Here's why: Most meetings happen out of habit rather than a genuine need for productivity. Every minute spent in a meeting that could've been an email or quick Slack message is a minute you lose for focused, meaningful work. High performers like Leo and Dmitry protect their mornings fiercely. They understand that great ideas, strategic thinking, and genuine progress rarely happen when bouncing from call to call. Next time you're invited to a meeting, ask yourself: - What's the goal here? - Can it be accomplished asynchronously? - Am I essential for this discussion? If the answers aren't clear, say no. Protecting your calendar isn't rude. It's respecting your time. Fewer meetings equals better work. Agree?
