We are using the beginning of 2025 as potential start of “separation” between gold miners’ performance (stronger) and US stock market performance (weaker). Red vertical line notes start of March. As we close out the month today, YTD performance is noteworthy— especially since early-February. With one day left in U.S. trading for February— YTD all three U.S. measures shown in the chart are negative (Nasdaq 100, S&P 500 and Tech Sector).??And all the non-U.S. measures are up strongly—most are up double-digits.
