This May our Frankfurt team attended the JUNG Architecture Talks, a significant event for promoting professional discussions and networking in the architecture community. For this month’s “YOUNG TALENTS“ summit we gathered in the city of Frankfurt. ? Team members had the opportunity to interact with young architects from the shortlist of the DAM Prize 2024, including prizewinners Gustav Düsing and Max Hacke. What is it like to see architecture as a pure part of a place? Where is the demand for architecture in a time of change? To what extent can and must the demand for comfort be reduced in order to conserve resources? How do we make architecture socially and collectively changeable? Filled with insightful discussions and innovative ideas, the event was an inspiring experience for the entire team. ? 1100 Architect was commissioned to design the renovation and modernization of the historic Eberstadt "Mühltalbad" swimming pool located in the southernmost part of Darmstadt, Germany.?The modernizations will allow the facility to meet the latest technical and sustainability standards, while preserving the historical character of the pool and surrounding landscape. 1100 is proud to announce that the B?llenfalltorhalle in Darmstadt, Germany has received a Special Mention in the Architizer A+ Awards for the Gyms and Recreation Centers category among submissions from over 70 countries. The gymnasium, and key landmark in Darmstadt since 1964, underwent a thorough technical renovation between 2019 and 2021, managed by our architectural team in Frankfurt am Main. The renovation preserved the building's historical integrity while upgrading its functionality with modern lighting and ventilation systems.
