Is your content not taking off? This is what you're doing wrong. - Lack of networking. On social, interacting, following, and engaging in communities that share your business' values forges genuine relationships and embeds trustworthiness into your accounts. - Company-centric copy. Your brand narrative should always center your customer and their wants. Tip: create a couple of top buyer personas for your business and reread your content through each of their eyes. Do they recognize themselves there? Are you writing to them? - Fact over story. Your content should focus on your customer's pain points and guide them to prosperity. Storytelling keeps attention, while cold information is routed to leave very little impact on the human brain. - Search intent blindness. Discover your audience's search intents through tools like SEMrush and compare your copy and meta tags to those of your competition. What sort of thing is your audience searching that would lead them to you? Does your blog answer a common question? Are they searching your brand after hearing about it through other avenues? - Making quiet moves. There's no rule that marketing has to be rigid and unseen; be loud in marketing choices. Consider marketing through channels that your competitors haven't reached. Allow your ads to disrupt and be unconventional. - Believing you are fully equipped to take on the copy journey. No marketer is ever completely educated. Read books, blogs, newsletters, reports, and other material regularly to up your content game.
