To celebrate our 30th anniversary, today we look back at 2022. We hosted the inaugural NEST IFM Summit in Las Vegas, bringing together industry experts and partners for collaboration and innovation. We were also named CONNEX Supplier of the Year, and NEST Nurtures won the Corporate Community Service Award. The next year, we teamed up with industry leaders in the skilled trades to start the Skilled Trades Advisory Council (STAC). By 2024, NEST and STAC partnered with the Philadelphia Phillies to launch the Skilled Trades All-Star Program for kids. This week, we celebrate 30 years of NEST! November 1994 was the start of something special. Today, I find myself reflecting on the journey that began with my father’s vision: to build a company grounded in integrity, hard work, and a commitment to doing things the right way - “the NEST Way.” What started as an idea has grown into a pioneering leader in Integrated Facilities Management. From managing a single client to overseeing over 60,000 locations across the U.S. and Canada, our company has focused on responsible growth, collaboration, and excellence. But this milestone is about more than numbers. It’s about people—the NESTers, service providers, clients, and community partners who have made NEST what it is today. Whether supporting local communities, championing diverse leadership, or helping our clients thrive, the NEST Way means creating a legacy that goes beyond business. This video is a tribute to the last 30 years—a collection of moments, milestones, and memories that define who we are. To celebrate our 30th anniversary, today we look back at the time period 2010-2018. In 2010, NEST was named a Top Workplace by Philly.com for the first time. In the same year, we expanded our after-hours support with a fully-staffed command center operating 24/7. In 2015, we rebranded to NEST Multi-Facility Management and appointed Rob Almond, Jr. as CEO. In 2018, we launched 20 Digits, a sister company of NEST, focused on advanced technology solutions for clients. In this timeframe, the media platform Inc. consistently recognized NEST. In just 10 days, we’ll celebrate our 30th anniversary. To recognize this milestone, we’re taking a journey through 10 key moments that have shaped NEST since 1994. Did you know, the term NEST is an acronym for "Negative Expense Systems Technology?” In November 1994, our company started with just four employees, a milk-crate filing system, and phones from Walmart. We were founded with a vision to transform facilities management, securing Fashion Bug as our first client. Here’s a pic of my dad at our first SPECS (Chain Store Age) show.
