According to the statistics from the Bureau of Foreign Trade, the total trade volume between Malaysia and Taiwan in January 2024 reached MYR 12.131 billion (approximately USD 2.535 billion), a 26% increase compared to the same period in 2023! Taiwan is currently Malaysia's 4th largest source of imports. The IMF predicts that Malaysia's economic growth will reach 4.4% in 2024, making it one of the most promising countries for development. As the fourth largest economy in ASEAN, Malaysia has attracted significant investment from Taiwanese businesses. Taiwan ranks 11th among foreign investors in Malaysia, with electronics and electrical products being the largest investment sector, amounting to USD 612 million.
