?????????????? ???????? ???? ???????? ???? Quitting isn’t failure—staying stuck is. I’ve hit glass ceilings in corporate jobs, stayed in toxic environments too long, and failed at four businesses before building Brain Apes, my agency that hit a mid six figure run rate in its second month. Here’s what I’ve learned: If you don’t advocate for yourself with action, you stay the source of your own suffering. You don’t grow where you’re undervalued, overworked, or boxed in. Sometimes you have to leave to level up. 4 signs it’s time to quit: 1. Your value is ignored. 2. Work overtakes your life. 3. Chronic stress that drains you. 4. No growth—professionally or personally. I finally broke free when I moved to Florida. A mentor showed me what life could look like when you shed limiting beliefs. That shift led to the life I live now—free, purposeful, and on my terms. You can’t change your outcomes without changing your thinking. And once you shift your mindset, the action becomes clear. The power of quiet leadership: strength in strategy, empathy, and resilience.

“Leadership is for the extroverted.” This was a belief I held strongly at the start of my leadership journey. To me, a typical leader was someone dynamic, outspoken, and able to command a room with sheer presence and eloquence. Yet, this image conflicted with my own quieter, more introspective nature. I found myself at a crossroads, torn between the necessity to be authentic and the perceived need to be an effective leader. This made me wonder if I could truly lead. It wasn’t until I came across Susan Cain’s work on introversion that I experienced a seismic shift in perspective on the concept of quiet leadership. To further explore this topic, I reached out to my friend Angela Lin, a quiet leader and finance executive. She helps quiet leaders reach their full potential. She shared with me the following 8 hidden strengths of quiet leaders: 1/ Win-Win: Resolves conflict in an inclusive manner. 2/ Strategic: Carefully thinks through risks and plans decisions. 3/Reliable: Self-motivated, gets things done and achieves goals. 4/Problem Solver: Thinks deeply to find new solutions. 5/Deep Thinker: Analyzes details to share valuable insights. 6/ Humility: Asks questions and hires people smarter than themselves. 7/ Calm in Crisis: Keeps cool during tough times, helping others feel steady. 8/ Empathetic: Listens closely, understands, and responds to others’ needs. Quiet leaders make an impact that’s not just heard but truly felt. Quiet is strong. Quiet is powerful. ---- Follow me, tap the (??) Omar Halabieh for daily Leadership and Career posts.

Assertiveness is about clarity and kindness, not aggression.

I used to believe that being assertive meant being aggressive. The reality is that you can both assert yourself and be kind. 5 proven tips to be more assertive (without being aggressive): 1/ Express your needs and wants clearly Why: Being direct and honest about your needs helps others understand your perspective and enables them to respond appropriately. It demonstrates self-respect and confidence in your own opinions and feelings. How: "I appreciate your input on this project, but I strongly believe we should take a different approach. Focusing on user experience will lead to better conversion. Can we discuss how we can incorporate both of our ideas?" 2/ Use "I" statements to communicate your perspective Why: "I" statements help you take ownership of your thoughts and feelings without placing blame or making accusations. They create a non-confrontational atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and mutual understanding. How: "I appreciate the effort you've put into this presentation, but I have some concerns about the accuracy of the data. I suggest we review the sources together and make any necessary updates to strengthen our case." 3/ Practice active listening and seek to understand others Why: Active listening demonstrates that you value others' perspectives and are willing to engage in a two-way conversation. It helps build trust and rapport, making it easier to find mutually beneficial outcomes. How: "I hear your concerns about the proposed changes to our team structure. Can you tell me more about how these changes will impact your work? I want to ensure that we address any potential issues." 4/ Offer solutions Why: Offering solutions rather than simply stating problems demonstrates your willingness to work collaboratively and find mutually beneficial outcomes. How: "I understand that you want to launch the new feature as soon as possible, but I have concerns about the current timeline. What if we break the launch into two phases? We can release the core functionality in the first phase and then add the additional enhancements in the second phase. This way, we can meet the initial deadline while ensuring the quality of the final product." 5/ Learn to say "No" when necessary Why: Saying "no" to unreasonable requests or demands demonstrates self-respect and helps you maintain control over your time and resources. It also helps prevent burnout and enables you to focus on your priorities. How: "I appreciate you considering me for this new project, but unfortunately, I don't have the capacity to take on additional work at the moment. I'm committed to delivering high-quality results on my current projects, and taking on more would compromise this. Can we revisit this opportunity in a few weeks when my workload is more manageable?" What’s one thing that helped you become more assertive? PS: Assertiveness is a form of self-care that also nurtures healthy, respectful relationships with others. Image Credit: Jenny Nurick

Too many CEO’s aren’t valuing today- they hold yesterday on too much of a peristal .. I love to learn from yesterday but I will not operate as if it was yesterday, I will ponder tomorrow and anticipate but I will not operate as if it was tomorrow … in operations and especially in?marketing?too many don’t know how to execute on “today” the truth of the business and the consumer.
