The way we generate leads has drastically changed since COVID, those not seeing results are likely still just focusing efforts on old outdated techniques such as cold calling on its own. Start by asking yourself: → Who am I really trying to help? → What do they need? → What makes them tick? This isn’t just about narrowing down your focus. It’s about making every effort count by making sure you're reaching out to those who will truly benefit from what you have to offer.

Poor quality leads in a lead generation campaign might manifest as leads who are not genuinely interested or relevant to the product or service. These leads might show minimal engagement, lack of interest in further communication, or mismatched demographics. Most of you marketing isn't buying. They might be in the future. Align information and action to the relevant stage of their journey, and you may discover that those poor-quality leads were just not in the stage of their journey you thought they were. Try going back to your current and past clients to ask them 1) why they chose to work with you 2) what benefits they've seen. Understanding these two things will help you do a better job of positioning your content to attract your ideal audience with their ideal proposition

One or more of the following will be the cause. 1 - Your offer is not attractive or compelling 2 - You're targeting the wrong audience 3 - You're not communicating or engaging with your audience (building trust). 4 - Focus on and master one lead generation channel before trying to add more channels.

You're far better putting time and effort into getting one channel really right and working for you, than trying to spread yourself too thin and getting poor results from all of it. Choose a channel where you know your ideal clients are, then optimise all your content for that channel and audience. Keep track of what works and what doesn't, and continue to tweak your content to fit.

Just feeding information to contacts relies on them to ignite the flame of action. Success comes with information and the ability to act on it.

If you've done all the above, the last thing to check is your stickability. Like cakes, leads need time to "bake". Quite often people start a lead generation method and give up a day later as it's "not worked". Ensure your success by giving yourself, and your lead generation activity time.

Too early, and you are likely to aggravate the contact and create unnecessary friction. Define how the contact-to-lead experience will progress and eliminate wasting time, effort, and money on lead generation.
