Well, there are all kinds of ways to lose trust. For example, some social media platform might want to promote more engagement by creating a system that generates absolutely stupid questions for users to answer, and then requires minimum and (ridiculously low) maximum character numbers, forcing the creation of tons of useless postings, thus making the platform itself much less useful. Getting trust *back* is a completely separate issue ...
