You've failed at photography. How can you use it to improve your skills?

From being rejected as an intern to being a lead photographer in a leading company, my mistakes have contributed to my growth. You can't learn compositions in a single take, I used to allot one day for each composition rule, learning aperture, ISO, playing with shutter speed and lighting techniques. I first watch videos related to this topic then go to the streets with my camera, take as many photos, and apply the techniques, Share it with my fellow photography friends ask for feedback and improve, Practice is the only key to improving in photography and start with what you have first, don't look for expensive resources.

You will not find my work at the Met or housed in the galleries of SoHo, but does that make me a failure? Ask yourself, do we fail when we do not take on the assumed appearance of others? And how long will it take until that unfair comparison will separate you from your work? 5 years? 10? For 50 years I have followed my path. Not the one steered towards fame but the one leveled by obscurity. Here I’ve been taught the patience to accept my vision, to believe in my purpose and to know a place that welcomes us only when we find it for ourselves. It is there that time folds effortlessly into thought, the pulse is lowered and I learn how very little of anything I really know. So please do not fail yourself by turning away from your own path.

Mistakes are the best lessons and experiences in our lives. We should accept, appreciate and analyze them if we want to success in our profession. ASK YOURSELF! Why that happened? What's my fault? Focus on yourself, analyze the mistake and try to use it on a good way and try to correct it.

Failure is the FIRST STEP towards success! No photographer was born with phenomenal ability to use camera and capture stunning images. Trust yourself, practice and practice hard!!!

It has been 4 decades and I'm yet to be recognized for any of my skills in fine art, photography, writing, poetry and music. I would much rather be original and know I'm evolving along with my vision and pray someone might witness a glimpse of this vast universe I'm intimately connected to along with Earth and her Nature. As long as I feel one with the Spirit of Life, I'm good. I don't need fame, recognition or fortune. I just want to be a part of and maybe one day some soul will share and want to be a part of that. In the meantime, I keep my camera with me at all times. I'm always aware and looking around trying to stay focused in the moment so I don't miss anything. In that moment I can experience the awe of everything!!!

To be more experienced you can try variety of experiments and practice more. As much you practice as well knowledge you are. You can't limit failures as well as source of knowledge, so we can use it for free through the internet.
