To listen actively and not involve emotionally in the critic. Not "personalizing" the comments. At the end it is not about yourself but the project. That way you can observe and learn from others point of views or even realize better if it is a legit critic or if there is an ulterior intention behind the critic. Taking notes, ask questions and evaluate also help. Let rest for some time and revise it again.

This means allowing the client to finish their point without destructing them to defend your position, This includes being open to more than one solution to solving a design problem while guiding the client on technical details of the design . Separating oneself from the critique provided on the design and not taking the feedback personally may also help one gain objectivity to the feedback which will guarantee active listening . Focus on what is being said vs how it makes you feel will also affirm the client in the process irrespective of how they presented the critique . It doesn't mean you will agree with the clients position however you are listening and acknowledging their feedback which is crucial to collaboration and customer service

In my experience, a proposal has to be iterated over and over again until it matches the standards required, that means listening and taking notes...but remember this is your proposal so reflect on what has been said, and filter out the constructive criticism from the pointless ones and then apply and fit to the scope or concept you are trying to convey.

Esto suele ser más fácil de llevar a cabo cuando somos parte de un equipo de trabajo, ya que el debate e intercambio de ideas es más dinámico.

Prendre la critique comme une opportunité de recherche pour proposer une meilleure solution, soit fonctionnelle, soit technique, soit de présentation. Les termes de la demandes n'ont peut-être pas été clairement exposés ou bien compris. Il est donc nécessaire de reprendre les exigences et contraintes du client dès la base, pour se projeter sur une nouvelle proposition plus adaptée.

Me ha resultado útil escuchar las mejores fuentes posibles. De esas fuentes altas y muy bien calificadas se puede obtener una retroalimentación valiosa. Las observaciones o críticas no deben ser escuchadas de cualquiera. Los aportes deben ser muy bien soportados con documentación y ejemplos validos

En muchas ocasiones la vorágine y la falta de tiempo, no permiten poder realizar una re-lectura o análisis de nuestro proyecto, esta situación es una de las principales causas de errores o peque?as cuestiones 100% modificables. Otro punto no menor, es tener claro que debemos darle un cierre temporal a cada proyecto, sabiendo que…. Siempre va a quedar algo por mejorar o por considerar.

From my own experience in design work, I understand that it is normal to have different opinions in design work, even if they are critical or disagree with the work presented. What the designer must always remember is to find the message in other people's comments, because the opportunity that arises allows us to know the needs or even ideas that can be adapted to our design work. The challenge is how the designer can combine their own approach with this new need. Thinking in a constructive way with the goal of improving it through cooperation is an option that I fully support.

La eficiencia y creatividad para obtener buenos y mejores resultados siempre será más fácil obtenerlo por medio de la colaboración. Los procesos creativos en busqueda de soluciones requieren, idealmente, de ciclos de aportaciones no rigidos lo cual también fortalece las relaciones dentro del equipo y la experiencia individual y colectiva.

La disposición de una mente abierta, segura y flexible siempre va a ver los cambios y sugerencias como una oportunidad de mejora constante que además, aumenta los sentidos de pertenencia de quién las sugiere y como resultado de la inclusión de su aporte, mejora la percepción del proceso y se obtiene un mejor resultado y mayor satisfacción del cliente.
