While working on a ecommerce app, I did some user interviews which revealed confusion around app's navigation, the user surveys also pointed out about the complex journeys. So worked on simplifying the user journey including the checkout process which resulted in significant improvement in cart abondement by 20% and also increased the cart value by 15%. Took the help of Adobe analytics tool in order to find out and fix a potential issue with a feature based on usage pattern. Implemented in app surveys to gauge customer satisfaction and improvement areas. Fixing all this proactivcely helped in improving the NPS and CSAT score. Regularly collecting and acting upon customer feedback ensures your product aligns with user expectations.

I always find it useful sharing the prototype with the customer in one on one interviews and let them interact with the product. It is like a check and balance process, where each "next phase owner" evaluate previous phase deliverables (you know scope, time, budget and Q). Without a goal and a way to measure a goal you never know if your product is successful or not. KPI’s enables you to see if the goal which is aligned with business objectives is achievable or not. Engineers might be carrying out the development but how to develop something what product managers drive with them or else there will be a gap.
