Have an open and candid feedback loop from your peers, bosses, and directs to ensure you have multiple data points to work on. Take feedback as constructive, regardless of how it might come off; perspectives are important. By identifying these potential gaps, you can research and find ways to improve or build upon them. Emotional intelligence takes effort and understanding, but by using purely our egos to get us through or history, we won't gain anything further for our future.
