True value is delivering to the need at the time of delivery, not what was signed 6-8 months ago in your scope of work. Yes build processes to track changes, provide an audit trail and necessary documentation to reflect the re-alignment. But definitely work closely with your stakeholders to be flexible to adapt, change, manage the "AHA" moments, market and business requirements.
