A few prompting questions are.... Do I prefer online resources or physical resources or perhaps both? What are my hobbies? Are there resources that incorporate learning with them? One of the most widely known teaching models is the VARK model which includes visual, auditory, read/write and kinaesthetic teaching styles. Visual is images, diagrams charts maps mindmaps, flashcards. Auditory is group discussions, verbal repetitions sound recording, mnemonic devices. Read/write is by making detailed notes and viewing them. Kinaesthetic teaching is, hands-on approaches, models, materials and tactile representations. Now you have created an official plan to teach a topic in deep and you are near the finish line.

Research and collaboration are the keys. Organization and planning are key for all kinds of educators, so as long as you have those two, you will find the way into an engaging curriculum.

Amidst pandemic restrictions on large group field trips, I had to tap into creativity. PBS became a valuable resource, offering a range of engaging virtual field trips. These experiences not only added excitement but also provided students with a refreshing break from traditional pen-and-paper activities!

I like the idea of ChatGPT or GenAI tools being mooted here. I have asked students to use ChatGPT as an ideas generator, or as a tool to assist students in thinking about the way they should approach their assignments. A number of students embraced this approach and it helped them to generate ideas from a variety of angles. However, ultimately, GenAI still serves as an augmentative device to aid in thinking and learning. Students still need to put in the intellectual work and take responsibility of their learning efforts.

(This can be accomplished by searching online for tools already created specifically for your subject.) -Find ways for students to demonstrate their knowledge via online Hyperdocs, Discussion Boards, and quizzes or tests.
