You're tasked with expediting an AR project. How do you ensure quality doesn't take a hit?
To expedite an Augmented Reality (AR) project without compromising on quality, strategic planning and resource allocation are key. Here's how to balance the scales:
- Streamline processes by using pre-tested AR frameworks and tools to save time while ensuring reliability.
- Conduct regular, quick quality assurance checks to catch issues early and avoid time-consuming fixes later.
- Involve a cross-functional team for diverse input, ensuring that speed doesn't overshadow user experience or technical soundness.

When speeding up an AR project, I focus on smart resource management. First, I break the project into sprints with clear, achievable milestones—this helps me keep track of quality at each stage. I use proven AR frameworks and libraries to avoid reinventing the wheel, saving time without sacrificing reliability. Quick, iterative testing is essential, so I run small, frequent quality checks rather than waiting until the end. Lastly, I involve a multidisciplinary team early on (designers, developers, and testers) to maintain a balanced focus on both functionality and user experience throughout the project.

By working directly with your end user/customer to create the ideal project according to their original specs or desires. As always, conducting your testing, but take things to the next level, get granular and be extra thorough when trying to push things through the pipeline faster than originally anticipated.

One way of speeding up an AR project (or any project for that matter) is including a generous amount of fuckup-time into the initial project schedule. To speed up, work through the project with as little unexpected hiccups as possible. In my experience, unexpected surprises just happen just like that. Unexpected. And by surprise! That is why it is important to always include some slack aka fuckup-time in project schedules. Everyone wins like this. With no surprises the project is delivered faster than planned, with some surprises the project is still on time!

Focus on using reliable AR frameworks, conducting frequent quality checks, and leveraging cross-functional teams to expedite projects without compromising on quality.

To expedite AR projects without compromise quality, 1. Clearly Define goals and features based on the existing tested and stable framework we have for AR. 2. Involve subject matter experts and teams with the knowledge of the framework and work towards shared goals and have a daily touch base for updated feedback. 3. Any enhancement and research towards the project features and action items will be performed parrellel by the supporting team which can be integrated later after testing.
