The trick: gather feedback from everywhere – surveys, chats, even watching people use it. Then, we gotta sort through it all, figure out what matters most, and fix those problems first. Here's the developer secret sauce: involve users early on, then keep them involved as we make changes. We build quick mockups to test ideas and see if they solve the user's pain points. It's all about making sure our AI works for them, not the other way around. And finally, we gotta keep talking to them, explain what we're changing, and show them how it makes their lives easier. Al principio de mi carrera, construir la arquitectura de la información era algo más descriptivo que prospectivo, es decir, consistía más en la observación, comprensión y estructuración del conjunto de información a organizar, que en en el dise?o de una propuesta de valor para el usuario que deba incluir con una estructura de información fácilmente comprensible. Con esto en mente, aunque el enfoque para mi ha cambiado, dise?ar una arquitectura de la información, en su fase de recopilación de información, tiene un fuerte componente de observación de la realidad de la información: ?Cómo podríamos organizarla por categorías? ?Cuáles son las entidades principales? ?Cómo es el etiquetado, o taxonomía? ?Cuál es la relación entre páginas?...

En este punto, a tener en cuenta que la única fuente de observación y recopilación de datos no tienen por qué ser los usuarios. Otra fuente importante a considerar es el estudio de la información tal cual se está usando, por ejemplo, en el dise?o de un Ecommerce para retail, es clave investigar cómo el sector organiza la información, cómo se etiquetan y nombran los diferentes artículos, categorías, taxonomías (benchmark)... Cómo se buscan y cómo se nombran por parte de los usuarios (analítica), en definitiva, un análisis más holístico, no solo centrado en los comentarios de los usuarios.

Un reto que se me presenta constantemente en los proyectos en los que trabajo la arquitectura de la información, es dar con una buena presentación y transmitir de forma clara y comprensible los objetivos de esta herramienta a los interlocutores de negocio. Pensemos que son los responsables últimos de validar dicha estructura y en muchos casos el stakeholder al que convencer y enamorar. En ese afán de contar la estructura a veces presento el sistema de navegación, pero en mi experiencia, eso siempre es un factor que más que ayudar a hacer una arquitectura de información comprensible, muchas veces confunde. Una cosa es cómo está estructurada la información, otra cómo se la presentamos a negocio y otra cómo se la ofrecemos al usuario.
