May be for others it’s not so, but in my world it’s a team game and you better have the customer and your own group on board before anyone else. The power of people has got lost, but for me good people that work as one and act as a team make the difference. The numbers don’t lie follow the money, put team first and treat customers like gold, your Boss is not the one who matters most here.

Acheving Project time line depends on managing constraints, passing the information regarding constraint and challenge are very vital as missing dead lines having further upwards upward integration challenges. Like to propose boss to have a detailed project review to have a feel of constraint and have confidence on team regarding further action points to overcome the challenges within timely manner

First evaluate what went wrong and the reason for delay. Come up with a plan of action to eliminate the root cause. Take a harder look at the rest of the project to identify other potential pitfalls. With all of this done, determine the completion date, critical milestones and the potential risks.

It is recommend to propose different scenarios putting on the table, for each of them, all advantages (pros) and disadvantages (cons) in terms the key performance indicators: quality, cost, timing, performance.
