1 Prioritize your tasks

Not all tasks are equally important or urgent. To avoid wasting time on low-priority tasks, you need to identify and rank your tasks according to their impact on the final product, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. You can use a matrix or a list to categorize your tasks into four quadrants: urgent and important, important but not urgent, urgent but not important, and neither urgent nor important. Focus on the tasks that are urgent and important first, then plan ahead for the ones that are important but not urgent. Delegate or eliminate the tasks that are urgent but not important or neither urgent nor important.

We use the Pomodora approach. It goes like this: List out your most important goals or tasks. - Put all distractions away (like your phone on silent). - Focus one one task for 20 minutes without any interruptions. - Then take a f5-10 minute break. - Come back and focus for another 20 minutes. - Repeat 2-3 times. - Finally, celebrate what you accomplish. Short focus sprints are easier to complete while allowing your mind to rest and rejuevenate between tasks. Once you get flowing, you will also get more inspiration to keep going.

It’s really important to run around like crazy doing just a little bit of each task. Do not prioritize or plan, this is time wasted not working. Quit before each task is totally done so you can move on to be productive on other things. Ideally you will leave a trail of half finished tasks everywhere, imagine how easy it will be tomorrow when you only have to do the last half. Never complete the last half.

A great tool that I believe can help improve any workplace is 5S. You may not see it as a tool, but it is an amazing way to organize and get everyone doing things the same way. Here are the basic steps: SORT - get rid of anything not needed SET IN ORDER - Put things where they are needed and convenient to use. SHINE - deep clean STANDARDIZE - Label, write procedures and post pictorial standards to follow. SUSTAIN - put audits and checks in place Give it a try and see how much it improves your productivity and engagement.

4 Eliminate waste

I believe that you should prepare your to do list and start prioritizing your task as per its urgency and importance. you can also delegate some routine tasks to your sub-ordinates or peers if possible. Eliminate distractions and time wastes.
