He's practically the king of the jungle. In this version, what happens to our hero? They become part of the jungle. They thrive. That’s the power of a mentor!

You pay thousands of euros for a master, a course on XXXX using your spare time, effort and money. A mentor provides one to one guidance during your working time. it is a blessing. Pick teh right one, there are not so many out there :)

First of all one must believe in the product or service they're trying to sell. Then comes discovering the need of the customer so probe as much as you can. Create a future needs as well. Then present the suitable plan. There's no way that you'd not be able to make a sale.

A coach helps/trains people... but who helps/trains the coach? To me, it's essential to close the loop. The one who helps should be helped as well !

To me, it's a matter of guts. Either you feel it or you don't feel it. So if you hesitate, listen to your own intuition rather than facts only

Don't get too hung up on "finding a mentor". Instead, look for mentorship opportunities all around you. Any colleague who knows more about a particular subject can offer micro-mentorship for a particular question. They don't have to be senior management or a star player. Even a junior in a different department may have something to offer. And don't limit yourself just to the people you work with - or even people who are still alive. I credit much of my sales success to what I've learned in the hundreds (thousands?) of books, videos and articles I've read and watched about sales, sales strategy, and sales coaching.

Set up regular 1-1 meetings with your mentor, even if it's just a few minutes per week, but do it weekly! Regularity over quantity!

To fully leverage a mentorship opportunity, I've developed my personal "ABCs," which have helped me: 1. Ask Questions: Your curiosity is a powerful tool. Pose thoughtful and probing questions that reflect your passion for personal and professional development. Challenges provide growth opportunities. 2. Build a Meaningful Relationship: A mentorship is most effective within a robust and trusting relationship. Focus on establishing a rapport, which will facilitate frank and productive conversations. 3. Contribute: Mentorship is a two-way street. Actively look for opportunities to contribute, whether through sharing your learnings with peers or providing feedback that could also help your mentor grow.

Your first and best mentor is your sales manager. Speak with your boss about which KPIs are the most important, and where your development efforts will have the most impact. Discuss with your boss what you can do to improve, and then put those practices into place. Use your performance on your KPIs to monitor your progress.

Mentorship can definitely help here, depending on the situation and what is causing the difficulty. An experienced ‘head’, who’s been there and done it, is always a useful resource to bounce ideas off and get a different perspective. Choosing the right mentor here is key, as is the ‘relationship’ between the 2 parties. If you can both be open and honest, this sets things up really well for a good outcome!

Reflect and Iterate: Encourage mentees to reflect on their experiences and insights gained from mentorship sessions. Encourage them to identify key takeaways, actionable strategies, and areas for further growth. Encourage a mindset of continuous learning and improvement by facilitating regular check-ins and reviews to assess progress and adjust goals as needed. By fostering a culture of reflection and iteration, mentees can maximize the value derived from mentorship and sustain long-term growth and development in their sales coaching performance.

I would always recommend to go with someone who has already achieved who you want to become as a path to lesser resistance to improve your Sales coaching scores. What is required is the mentees willingness and intention to apply the Learnings after due consideration. There are times when you meet a mentor and when the mentor suggests the mentee isn’t able to gather the courage to take actions. In the later part of the journey realisations comes that what mentor was saying a year back was a better way. If you want to become better a right mentor can open the gates faster

La primera mentoría no siempre es formal , casi siempre es dada por tu primera experiencia laboral, sobre todo si es un oficio donde se comparte en un taller o galpón , pero el maestro antiguo no te ense?ará nada hasta que demuestres tu valía , pero no olvides que ir recibiendo conocimiento es entregarlo también , personas muy sabias aveces no se actualizan tan rápido como las nuevas generaciones , si somos capaces de entregar también conocimiento útil , el mentor se comprometerá mejor con tu desarrollo profesional y te dará importantes consejos.
